The Executive Director & Executive Administrator is responsible, as the Chief Administrative Officer, to manage day-to-day management of the company with full authority for the day-to-day management and leadership of Valor HospiceCare’s Clinical Department – PatientCare, Quality, Compliance; Marketing Department, and for collaborating with the Operations Department (Finance/IT/HR/Facilities Management) for the effective and efficient use of all resources in carrying out the organization’s purposes.

This position requires a minimum of 5 years supervisory and administrative experience in a home health agency, hospice, or related health program, and a Bachelors degree in business, healthcare or related field; Masters degree preferred. Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated ability in program administration including knowledge of Medicare conditions of participation, state licensure regulations, heath care policies and reimbursement practices as well as demonstrated excellence in managing human resources, above average written and oral communications, and a proven history of leadership in operations excellence, marketing superiority and clinical expertise.

An overview of responsibilities include:
Clinical Department – PatientCare Program – Including The Valor Institute for Palliative Medicine:
· Proactively implements and ensures compliance of Medicare, Medicaid and AZ Department of Health Services regulations.
· Oversees clinical and program operations components of patient care program.
· Directs PatientCare Program and oversee clinical component of nursing and aide services, social services, volunteer programs and contracted services.
· Manages day-to-day responsibilities and actions of the Medical Directors.
· Develops and oversees Ethics Committee.
Marketing Department, including Sales & Admissions:
· Oversees and directs the Company Sales, Marketing & Admissions Programs, including developing sales training, Marketing Plan, SWOT analysis and future unique programs.
· Accountable for the sustained growth of the company’s average daily census.
· Leads development of new value-added services, markets and locations.
· Represents Valor HospiceCare to the community.
Administrative Responsibilities & Operations Department:
· Participates on Governing Body Boards for Valor HospiceCare licenses.
· Is the Administrator for Tucson/Green Valley, Sierra Vista and Phoenix/Casa Grande licenses, including other locations when applicable.
· With Finance Manager, oversees coordination of finance driven initiatives for cash flow, investments, operational efficiencies of organization, including budgeting by department and fiscal cost enhancement measures.
· In collaboration with Human Resources Director, determine staffing needs and staffing patterns according to program requirements and with consideration for utilization of personnel at their maximum potential.
· Designs and executes the Yearly Business Plan, as approved by Governing Body Board.
· Oversees The Valor Institute for Palliative Medicine, including continuous quality improvement (CQI)/quality assessment performance improvements, organization development and palliative care programs with Director and CQI Coordinator/Educator and implement measures to improve overall operational objectives.
· Monitors day-to-day compliance with regulatory and reimbursement requirements.

The Medical Social Worker is responsible for the implementation of standards of care for medical social work services. A degree in Social Work from an accredited educational institution is necessary, and a LCSW/LMSW is preferred. A demonstrated ability in casework, counseling and group work, including one year of clinical experience in hospice or health care setting.
· Maintains the standards of Social Work excellence in accordance with the principles set forth by the Arizona State Health Department, and agency policies and procedures.

This role requires a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona. Bachelor degree, Masters preferred and clinical experience is essential. Must have at least three years of hospice management experience, including a background in clinical excellence and business/operations management. Excellent communication skills will be necessary. Computer proficiency is a must. Primary accountabilities include:
· Oversees licence of Tucson Metro and Green Valley multiple location.
· As a company expert on Medicare conditions of participation, and in collaboration with Medical Directors, proactively coordinates standards of care and new programs that uniquely positions company in communities served
· Plan, develop, organize, direct and evaluate assigned clinical functions and performance of team
· Drive and support census development through "open access" initiatives of PatientCare, Marketing & Admissions Programs
· Proactively educate, assist and promote professional growth for all clinical staff

Works with Nurse Case Manager to ensure continuity of care whether in a private home or nursing home or assisted living facility. Recruits and develops CIT team members for 24-hour nursing and aide care. Strong planning and organizational skills required, including extensive use of computer programs of MS Word and Excel.

Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Nurses (LPN)
Highly flexible schedules available for patient services for the Continuous Care level, per Medicare. Assists with continuous care in a 24-hour period. Works with Nurse Case Manager to ensure continuity of care for this pain and symptom management crisis. Great LPN position for semi-retired nurses who want to call their own schedules with the CIT nursing pool.
