"One Saturday many weeks ago we called in a panic and Valor answered. In our hour of need and confusion over our mother, who was dying before our eyes, your Program Director was on the other end of the phone. She arrived a few hours later and it was the beginning of a remarkable end of life experience that involved sisters, daughters, caregivers, and grandchildren; it became a beautiful orchestration of all the elements necessary for a peaceful transition. This music included many of your clinicians who were tender and caring unconditionally, along with back up from your bereavement care coordinator who was open and helpful when we needed her, and of course, our conductor, your Program Director who put the pieces together. Knowing that we could call Valor when we had questions or concerns helped us make our mother's experience a peaceful one. Valor nurses showed us all the things we could do to make our 95 year-old mother more comfortable. We are certain we will take this amazing experience with us and appreciate the wisdom and the love of life and the respect for death. We thank Valor and all its employees for making this possible."
"I so appreciated your note about your visits with my Mom. I know Valor had asked if I wanted a volunteer to visit her, but I didn't know you had done so. Your comments about your visits made me smile as I do believe you discerned her interests. I am grateful to you for your kindness to my mom and for sharing the information with me. Thank you for being a hospice volunteer."
"Thank you for your loving help with taking care of my mother. Dementia is a terrible disease but I know that she was present with us as she grew ill. Enclosed is a donation in memory of her and those who you serve with similar issues."
"Our father's service to our community as a fireman for so many years, was what made us so proud. We thank you for setting up a community event with all of the fire departments and the Mayor before he passed. He was so proud that day and everyone enjoyed what you did for us."
"Although my mother was with Valor for only a day, the care and love provided was wonderful. I had been repeatedly asking my mother's doctor to consider hospice care as she was very sick--he just kept saying that everything was fine, but it wasn't. She was in pain and didn't get the type of care that I know hospice could provide. I've been telling all of my friends about Valor and whenever I get the chance to speak, I spread the word about how wonderful our family's experiences were once we choose hospice."
"We will forever be grateful to Valor HospiceCare for the kindness that you have all shown our family and most importantly for the love and support that you gave our mother to assist her in passing with quiet dignity and comfort."
"On behalf of my family and the funeral industry, I consider it a privilege to offer you and your staff heart-felt thanks for the difference you made for my father, myself and my family. Without your help, this time would have been much more difficult. It is my sincere wish that all those who have to go through times like this be taken care of as well as we were."
